Hercules trailer
Sorry I've been slow on new posts but I was having some computer issues. I'm back online and wanted to talk about the new trailer for Hercules staring Dwayne Johnson, formally know as "The Rock. This movie is based of the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars graphic novel written by Steve Moore. It's being directed by Brett Ratner who also directed X-men: The Las Stand. It is scheduled to be released July 25, 2014. It's a short minute and a half teaser trailer which shows the look of Hercules and some of the action in the movie. We get to see a few of his 12 Labours list, Cerberus the three-headed hell hound, the nine-headed Lemaean Hydra the great boar Eurystheus, and the Nemean Lion. Since it's just a teaser trailer no real plot or story is revealed but it sure does look great. I'm pretty excited for this movie and this first trailer didn't let me down. Take a look and let me know what you think.

I’ve watched many Hercules movies and over the years starting with the first movie in Italian “Le fatiche di Ercole” (translation: “The labors of Hercules”) released in 1958. Some were good for their time and others were bad.
ReplyDeleteI am not that familiar with the novel and I didn’t get a feel of it either from the trailer. I had to Google some more information to get a better understanding of what the movie is supposed to be about. Based on that, I decided to add it to my Netflix queue when it comes out on DVD. In some ways I wonder if it’s going to feel similar to Mr. Johnson’s role as the Scorpion King.
Woah, The trailer for this looked really cool! I hope the movie ends up delivering all of the awesomeness that the trailer depicts. I hope this won't be another CGI heavy movie with no real substance. I suppose only time will tell though.
ReplyDeleteThis movie looks awesome!! I had no idea that they were coming out with it until i read your blog. I'm glad the chose Dwayne for the role, he never lets me down. He's a great actor.
ReplyDeleteI have to say this movie looks pretty awesome, but I love any kind of thing to do with mythology. I've always loved the Disney cartoon version of Hercules so I definitely would like to see this more adult version. I think Dwayne is actually a decent pick for this role.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first I have herd of this movie. I usually don't go for this kind of film but the trailer looks great. I am totally intrigued to see more on this movie.
